Best Foundation For Oily Skin - High End Product

Hi everyone!
Today I am going to be reviewing Estee Lauders Double Wear foundation. This is 1 of 2 double wear foundations within their collection. They also have the Double Wear light which has different shade ranges and a lighter formula. This range has an amazing 38 shades! This retails at £30. Hope you enjoy!

Lets see what Estee Lauder say about this foundation. They promise a 15 hour staying power. It will stay natural through heat. It will not oxidise throughout the day. Will not smudge. And will give you a flawless finish. Lets see if this was true....

Good points.
Let me start off by saying that I have repurchased this foundation three times and I love every last drop of this that goes onto the face. The packaging has a semi frosted glass, still allowing you to see how much product you have left. It has an spf of 10 included which is decent through the summer months and humidity. What I love about this foundation is that they offer a shade to suit every skin colour. With an amazing 38 shades you are with out a doubt going to get your exact colour of you skin or what ever colour you'd prefer. For me, I always go one shade darker? Don't know why I always do but thats just me. I have the shade ECRU. This is a nice neutral yellow based colour. Lets talk formulation. First of all Estee Lauder said that this foundation dries down a demi-matte. In my opinion I think that it dries to a light matte myself. I love how blendable this is with either a foundation brush or a beauty blender. The formula is heavy duty so covers all imperfections and dark under eye circles amazingly. Now, I have worn this on holiday in hotter heats various of times now and it has never let me down. It does becomes more shiny than normal but the staying power through the heat is amazing. Like Estee Lauder said, this foundation does not oxidise what so ever. If it does eventually become oily, it will not oxidise to a different colour. Also as they said this foundation does not smudge at all throughout the day. It has such a strong formula that It will stay put based on how you blended it when first applied. What I like about this is that because it covers imperfections well, I do not have to use extra product over the top of any acne as this will just make it worse and stand out more in my opinion. I love how you can also put powder over the top of this foundation and it will not become or look cakey because of how heavy duty this foundation is. The rest of any face makeup blends out easy on the face making it all look natural and flawless. Because I have oily skin this is the ideal foundation for me. It does state this is a medium to buildable coverage but I think it has full coverage depending on how free of acne your skin is. If you have no acne at all then this is such a full coverage foundation but if you have acne dotted around the face or in a few places, that area may need extra coverage to make sure all redness is covered. I find that I do not need to use any colour correcting products with the foundation as it cancels out any redness and darkness well anyways. I love that this does not have a smell to it either which means I am not smelling the product on my face all day. Finally, this foundation has the stay power of a beast. This can last on the face up to 8-9 hours 10 at a push before I think 'it's time to come off.' This is a great foundation to wear to work and everyday if you are willing to spend £30 a time
The shade ECRU (Blends to a lighter shade I promise!)
Bad points
Every good must have it's bads. I know I've mentioned some amazing points but these are some reasons in to which lets this product down. First of all a pet hate of mine. This product does not come with a pump. This makes things less hygienic and means that I can easily overdo the amount of product that I get out. To solve this I had to then spend my own money on buying a pump that would fit off of amazon. If you want to have a pump on your double wear if you have this foundation just type in 'double wear foundation pumps' on amazon and they're about £5. Another points is how quickly this dries. Sometimes I do find that I miss abit of coverage on my face or have not blended an area out as well. If I wanted to go back and correct the problem I find that this is hard because of how quick it dries. You have to be so quick when working with this foundation to blend as it dries almost instantly. I do think that the formula is really heavy on the face also and you can feel that you have makeup on the face. Because of how heavy duty this is I find that if you have dry areas on the face it will stick to them making it patchy whether that's straight after application or a few hours after. If you have dry skin and want to try this foundation I would advise you to wear a really heavy moisturise underneath as It will no doubt dry you out.

Overall
If you have oily skin this is the perfect foundation for you. It lasts well on the skin for up to 10 hours at a max and looks flawless on the skin. This is an easy blendable foundation as long as you do it straight away by working quickly. This may dry quite heavy on the skin but If it last all day, personally I don't mind as it keeps my shine controlled throughout the day. My recommendation to any who has or wants this is to get a pump as it makes it so much easier to deposit product and it's more hygienic for those who have spot prone skin to ensure bacteria does not get inside.A great foundation for all skin types really but AMAZING for oily skin. If you have trouble keeping your oil at bay then go with the splurge and buy this foundation and get matched to your shade you will not regret it!

If you have any other recommendations on decent foundations for oily skin please let me know and I will buy and review it for you guys, Thanks! X
