Maybelline's NEW 'Falsies push up mascara' review

Hi everyone!
This is going to be a review on Maybelline's NEW falsies push up mascara. This is Maybellines latest mascara in which they have brought. When I first saw this advertised I couldn't wait to get my hands on it because I love a good mascara which 'pushes up' my lashes. Because I don't go for false lashes it is important for me to find a mascara which gives me a false eyelash affect. Recently I got this from sainsburys at £6 on offer! However this does retail normally at £7.99. Enjoy! X

So this is the product itself. It is in a sleek shiny pink and red packaging with a black rim and pink lighting. I have hight hopes for this mascara as I loved the Lash sensational I last reviewed from Maybelline. I love trying out new mascaras so I hope this one does not let me down

Good points
To start with I really like the way this is packaged. Maybelline have mixed things up by doing a different shaped product than their regular slim down oval kind of shape. I like how it's shiny because this gives it more of a classy look whilst the long model itself really looks more highend than drugstore. I think this is a better look for maybelline. I think the price is really reasonable. It isn't too expensive so can be easily brought by those willing to spend over £10. The mascara itself. I think this mascara makes my lashes look full and lengthened. It makes them look just over the natural looking side but I like that. The brush is not normally I brush I could work with but I do really like it. As you can see below, the wand is quite thick and it is very dense. The bristles have gaps between them to lengthen easily from the root of your lashes and it works well. You can really coat each individual lash with some ease. One of the main things about mascaras is how long it wears throughout the day. This mascara has a good longevity to it. It will hold the curl of you lashes all day with no need to re-apply any more if you do. The colour remains as pigmented and as visible as when first applied. Some mascaras loose there colour due to flaking off the lashes throughout the day but this one does not do that. Removing this off the eyes is very easy. This makes it a lot nicer to the skin as it doesn't mean that you are pulling at it or applying pressure around the eye area. Finally this mascara does take a while to dry. This is 50/50 because it means that you can build the product up more on the lashes with it still being wet BUT it means it transfers easier onto the lower and bottom lash line or eyelids through blinking.

Bad points
First things first. The formula of this is very wet. This mascara is actually quite difficult to work with in terms of the formulation. Because of this being a wet forumlated product, It is very easy to get the product on to the eyelids. No matter how much product you wipe off before applying, you will find yourself still applying a load of product onto the lashes which makes them look clumpy, messy and not very nice at all really. For me, using a spoolie with no product on it is the best way to brush through your lashes to get any unwanted product off. This is what I do otherwise, my lashes would be a mess in all honesty. If you have oily eyelids, this will transfer only a tiny bit on to the lids. This is not a sweat proof or water proof mascara in any way shape of form so be careful when wearing this on wetter days or if you are a active person (which is not me #LazyProbs)

PLEASE excuse this awful picture BUT I wanted to show you what I looks like before and after I applied this mascara. As you can see, on the left is the look once applied and on the right is my eyelashes beforehand. This photo does not really do the mascara justice if i'm honest. My lashes look a lot blacker in person and a lot more fuller. BUT compared to my natural lashes, this mascara does show a big difference. It elongates them, it curves them and really lakes the stand out from my natural pale lashes. If you are wondering...my eyebrows are bone with anastasia brow wiz - shade dark brown.

Overall
Overall I do like this mascara but it takes a long time to get it looking right due to how wet the formulation is. You have to apply this slowly in order to get the less amount of product on the skin as possible. This is not a mascara to choose in a rush. The big point is for me....Did it do better or just as good or worse than Maybellines 'lash sensational mascara.' For me it is just as good but I would purchase Lash sensational over this any day. Lash sensational does not have a wet formula and is easier and quicker to work with. Both of these mascaras do exactly the same thing but this one is a lot harder to use and work with. In my opinion, I would try maybelline's lash sensational over this one.

If you have any mascaras you'd like to recommend me trying then PLEASE let me know in the comments below! Don't forget to show your support on my bloglovin page if you liked this blog or my blog in general. Thanks X
