 My MAC lipstick collection!

Hi everyone! Today, I thought i'd review the 4 MAC lipsticks that I own. Each lipstick retails at £15.50. I purchased these from the MAC store itself. 

The 4 lipsticks I own are:

• DIVA - Matte finish
• MOCHA - Satin finish
• BRAVE - Satin finish
• VERVE - Satin finish

About the matte finishes

Good points - The matte finishes by MAC are good. I find them to be very creamy and non drying on the lips. As the matte lipsticks are creamy, they are easy to apply to the lips, giving you chance to deepen the colour as the lipstick does not instantly dry matte. As I have only tried DIVA by MAC which is a matte finish, I notice that I can intensify and vamp up the colour more by applying more product to the lips without it looking clumpy. Some matte lipsticks if applied too much can make your lips seem clumpy and rough giving it a non natural look to the lips. I am interested in trying lighter matte shades by MAC so I can see if lighter shades apply the same and look as good. 

Bad points - However, these matte lipsticks, in my opinion, are not long wearing. If you are planning on wearing this lipstick and eating and drinking with this on, you will have to re-apply to the lips as the matte lipsticks do not withstand liquids and foods. BUT if you are wearing this just to go out and do shopping etc, this will stay put fine. That Is my only downside with MAC's matte lipsticks. 

About the satin finishes

Good points - The satin finishes by MAC are beautiful. Satin finishes offer a demi matte finish whilst still looking hydrating and creamy to the eye. They are so creamy, just like the matte finishes and are really easy to apply to the lips yet again giving you the opportunity to apply more colour easily if need be. The three shades that I have are all different ranges of colours and I love them all. Satin finish lipsticks are so wearable for everyday looks as it's not too matte which will not give a harsh look and it's not too shiny giving it a glam look. It's a happy medium finish for me personally. 

Bad points - I am not too sure if this is the case with the other finishes in which MAC have to offer but with the satin finishes also, I found that these were also not long wearing in regards with food and drinks. I have to re-apply the satin finish lipsticks once I have ate or drank. And like I said previously, if you're not planning on eating or drinking whilst out then you should be fine to wear these without touch up.

 MAC Mocha is a beautiful orange toned nude which is easy to wear everyday with any look. I love wearing this lipstick to brighten up my face on those days where your skin is looking dull. Because this is a satin finish, it keeps my lips looking hydrated and natural.

MAC BRAVE - Satin finish

MAC brave is a lovely natural nude pink shade. It is a beautiful spring/summer natural colour which is guaranteed to make the eyes pop. This colour lipstick is very easy to wear everyday with whatever look created.

MAC verve is a stunning sultry colour. I would describe this colour as a mauve brown. This shade looks amazing on those with pale skin complexions. This is wearable everyday but I would blend the colour out to make it lighter for more formal events.

MAC diva is an intense deep red colour. It is a lovely autumnal/ winter shade but can be worn all year round. The colour is versatile, making it great on all skin colours. This colour will definitely make your lips look lush and sexy
