Hi everyone!
This is going to be my February favourites of 2016. These 6 items are my most loved of February for various reasons. Below, I will explain why I loved the product and I will mention it's price so you can get an insight of the full product. Hope you enjoy X
My February favourites:
- Elf's studio blush - Shade tickled pink
- Real techniques fan brush
- Yankee Candle -scent vanilla lime
- The body shop's tea tree foaming face cleanser
- Neutrogena's 2 in 1 wash and face mask
- Sally Hansen's nail polish - Colour 639 Scarlet Fever
Elf studio blush in shade tickled pink - This is the only makeup item which I have really loved using this month. I have had this product a long time but only just re-discovered my love for it. I have being using a blush which came in my sleek face pallet in the shade light but recently started using this blush again as I wanted something lighter on the cheeks. And this is the reason why I have been loving this. It gives such a beautiful, light finish to the cheeks making it look so natural to the eye. For those with fair skin, this will look amazing! This blush is great for all year round. The price for this blush is currently £4.50 on elf's website. I am seriously considering purchasing more shades as I love elf's studio blush line so much!
Real techniques fan brush - Now I have been loving this brush this month for applying highlight to my face. The bristles on this brush pick up pigment so easily that you will find yourself not going back into the pan as often. Because the brush is quite small, it's so easy to apply highlight to the smaller areas of the face such as the brow bone or the cupids bow which is extra handy. I am not sure if you can purchase this brush separately as I brought this in a collection with two other brushes which I don't think you can purchase in store now but online on a selling site ebay it is selling for around £7.99-£10 and it's called the sculpting set and it also comes with a setting brush and a angled contour brush.
Yankee candle, Vanilla lime -The scent Vanilla lime is such a refreshing scent to have lingering around. It's so fresh that it reminds me of spring/summer time when I light this. I have three yankee candles but this is the scent I have been using the most. I have the biggest jar out of the range in which they do so this is the most expensive option. This is great to light up in the day for when you need a pick me up when you're feeling a bit sluggish or slightly down on yourself. The scent is so strong but it's not too overpowering so it's great to be lit for hours on end. Vanilla lime in the largest jar I have retails at £17.99 but you can get this cheaper if you brought a smaller version of this item
The body shop's tea tree foaming face cleaner - I have been amazed by this product. Just recently I have started having a skin care routine as I have noticed that I getting more oily and more acne prone skin. This has been working so well for my skin. It doesn't dry my skin out and leaves my face feeling smooth. I use this with an item which is the same concept of a clarisonic but it's much cheaper. Those two together are doing wonders to my skin. I have been using this for about a month now and I have noticed such a difference. Like my blush, I have had this product a while but I have just recently started using it again. As this claims it is suitable for blemished skin, I thought i'd start trying this out more often to see if it works and it does. The foam is so gentle on the skin and leaves the skin feeling so fresh and rejuvenated. At the body shop this retails at £5.50 which is super good for how amazing this product is and for 150ml of product.
Neutrogena's 2 in 1 was and face mask - I have be LOVING this product this month. At the beginning of this month I went into boots looking for a gentle face mask to target my pores. As I went to the Neutrogena section I noticed this product. You can use this product as a facial wash which claims to help reduce spots or as a face mask which claims to unclog pores and purify deep down. So that sounded a good deal to me. Let me tell you, If you have young, acne prone skin like me PLEASE buy this!! If using as a wash or a mask they both work brilliantly. I actually use both of the aspects all the time. I use the wash in a morning when I wake up to prepare my skin for the day and I use the mask only on my T zone areas at night after my other steps of skin care to help with my pores. If you would like a post on my skin care routine then please let me know! I brought this at a price of £3.69, totally worth getting!
Sally Hansen's nail polish, shade 639 Scarlet Fever - This is such a lovely coloured nail polish. It is a beautiful wine red shade. This nail polish wears so well! It lasts on the nails about a week before it needs to be taken off and reapplied or taken off completely. I know if i'm wearing this nail polish on any special occasion, it will not chip away, very reliable. Sally Hansen nail polishes aren't cheep but they are really worth the money. I currently have two other colours from her in which I have the same opinion on. The brush is the perfect size for any nail size to make application so smooth and easy. What I also love about this is that it dries super quick. I'd say within 1-2 minutes, the nails will be dry for you do to whatever you want. This retails at £6.99
