This is Urban Decay's de slick makeup setting spray. This product states that it's oil free, oil controlling, deflects shiny surfaces on the face and helps the skin keep matte all day. This currently retails at £21 for the full size bottle. 

Reasons for buying

As you know, I have very oily skin. I wanted to try this setting spray over the others Urban Decay have to offer because of how it states it's oil controlling. I wanted to see if by adding a setting spray helped my makeup last longer throughout the day. 

Good points

Let's get straight to the point. This product does work. I did notice a difference compared to when I didn't apply this to when I did apply this. The longevity of my makeup stays set for longer on my skin. If i'm using a matte foundation, It will stay matte for longer when I do use this setting spray. No matter whether you're using a drugstore or high end foundation, in my opinion they both last better with this setting spray on. Another bonus to this is that it doesn't have a smell. Some setting spray's such as the one elf produced, have a very strong smell to it and it does make it quite off putting when you're applying it to your face. This setting spray does not make your makeup feel heavy either. Typically, with this being an oil controlling product, we can associate these type of products to be more heavier for the skin but this isn't the case.

It distributes out the bottle evenly across the face, drying instantly to set the face. As always, I like to mention the overall appearance. I do like the bottle it is in. I think it's good for travelling and also to place into your bag or anything else loosely to spritz over the face during the day. You can however get the travel sized version priced at £9 that i've seen if you wanted to try this out before getting the full size. This setting spray offers a good amount of product at 4 fluid ounces, 118ml which I think is really good for a setting spray. I use this almost every time I apply makeup and I've had this product 8 months and i've got just under half left.

Bad points

Even though It does make my makeup last longer throughout the day, I wouldn't say it makes it last a lot longer than usual. If anything, I would say it makes my makeup last up to just over 1 hour and a half longer than normal. You may think that that's quite a substantial about extra of longevity to the wear of the makeup but during the end of those 2 hours, I will need to touch up with powder because of how the oil starts to break down my face quite bad , for me anyways. For me, having to take makeup out with me and touch up those shiny areas of my skin is hassle. When i'm out, I don't want to be thinking about how oily my face looks in certain lights. For you oily people out there, you will understand my point #OilySkinProblems :P However, if you have normal or dry skin, this probably wouldn't be the case as your oil production would be frequently less. 

Overall

I would rate this a 8.5/10 just because of what I mentioned in my bad points above. However, I will still re-purchase this product because It does make my makeup last somewhat longer than without using this. Would 100% recommend for those who are looking for a long lasting, light weight setting spray.
