Anastasia Beverly Hills Self Made Eyeshadow Pallet Review

Hi everyone!
I'm finally back from my long weekend in London SO why not start the week off with a in depth review of an eyeshadow pallet. This pallet is the 'self made' pallet by Anastasia Beverly Hills. As I live in the UK, I purchased this off the website beauty bay as ABH is unavailable to purchase from UK stores. It cost me £27. I do not think Beauty Bay stock this pallet now because it said it was only a seasonal pallet only but i'm sure you could still find this somewhere. Hope you enjoy!

So above is the pallet itself inside and outside. The pallet comes with 14 shades ranging from neutrals to greys to mattes to metallics. Inside the pallet is presented with a sleek mirror compacted into the lid making this handy for on the go appliance. This also comes with a double ended brush which comes with a base shadow and blender. Just for reference this is claimed to be cruelty free also. To start with I will mention the overall pro's and con's to the pallet overall and then I will go more in depth about the shades

Good points
To start with I'm going to mention how glam the packaging is. I think it looks sophisticated, sleek, glam and all things girly. I love how this comes with a brush, which may I say is so good. This brush actually works really well with the products. The bristles are so soft making it easy to blend out and apply the shadows on the eyelid. I actually use this brush with other eyeshadows also because of how much I think this brush is worth it. As i've said in previous reviews I always like a good sized compact mirror with the product as I find it handy for travelling purposes. AND because it comes which such an ideal brush, you shouldn't need to be taking loads of eye brushes with you either, saving you space for other makeup. Next. I absolutely adore the formula of these shadows! With out a doubt the best formulated eyeshadows that i've tried. They are super creamy, super blendable and very highly pigmented. A little pigment will go a very long way. What ever the finish of the shadow, each one works just as good as the next. The range of colours are very cleverly selected. They have shadows for every skin tone, every eye colour, every season, JUST EVERYTHING! This is why I think I am going to use this pallet even more in the summer months because of how you can create a look with anyone of these colours no matter the occasion and still look bomd af. With this being my first purchase from Anastasia she did not disappoint.

Bad points...kinda
I know this can't be helped BUT I do find the shadows to have a lot of fall out. However, if using a damp appliance from using fix plus or a setting spray... this does help this. I find that I can not use these shadows without using them first. However this does make them more pigmented. This is only a pet hate of mine but I prefer the lids of pallets to be firm. I think that floppy lids are a lot harder to deal with when travelling and in general if im honest. This does have a floppy lid and can not stand up on it's own. For some people I know this will benefit them more but this is just my personal preference.

Overall
Overall I love this pallet. So worth the money. And for £27 for a high end eyeshadow pallet that is such a bargain!!! If you can get your hands on this I would seriously recommend this whether this is your 50th high end pallet or your 1st. I will be sure to try out any more pallets from her if you wish to recommend them to me. But yes, I love this pallet so much and I couldn't ask of anymore of it.

The shadows themselves.

So here are the shadows in there true form. Just in case you can't see the names they are (starting from the top left) Pink champagne, Metallic plum, Self-made, Witchy, Blush, Blossom, Buttery, Deep purple, Treasure, Hot & cold, Sherbert, Isla, Spirit rock, Hot chocolate. Below I will explain the top row and then continue on the bottom row

From the top : Buttery, Blossom, Blush, Witchy, Self-made, Metallic plum, Pink champagne.

Pink champagne - Is a metallic rose gold colour. This swatch really does not do it justice on the photo. This is one of my favourites from the pallet. It's such a beautiful colour which is so highly pigmented making your eyes look so glam. It's definitely is a pink champage colour.

Metallic plum - This is a satin orchid plum looking shade with brown undertones. This does look more plum in person but this colour is very deceiving. Originally I thought that I would not use this colour at all but one I gave it a go it looks so flattering on the lids. Once blended out, it becomes a subtle plum colour which just give the eyes dimension but a pop of colour at the same time

Self-made - This is a shimmering brown/subtle orange satin shade. This is a beautiful colour to put central lid to brighten up the look. This will look beautiful in more summer months.

Witchy - This is a satin brown/grey colour. Like Metallic plum I did not think I would use this colour as much as others BUT once tried I actually think this shade is so pretty to put into the outer corner or the lower lash line just to add a subtle depth to the look if you want to darken the look up slightly.

Blush - This is a soft, barely there greyish toned shade with a hint of a green undertone. This is the one that actually comes out darker than it looks in the pan. This is actually really pretty to put in the inner corner of a eye or inner corner of the eye just to lighten a vampy, darker look which you may have going on.

Blossom - This is also another favourite of mine. This is a beautiful, highly pigmented muted petal pink shade. This is SO stunning all over the lid with a nice subtle outer corner depth to it. With a nice inner corner highlight this is guaranteed to make your eyes look stunning and POP. This is one of them shades which you have to build pigment on but once done so, this looks super flawless on the lid

Buttery - This is a sheer buildable matte cream shadow which is great for a base shade before applying any shadow. This is great at using this to set an eyeshadow primer and prepare the lid to cancel out any pigmentation and just to smooth things out. This can also be used as a beautiful brow bone highlight and inner corner highlight.

So for second row of the pallet the colours are from the top - Hot chocolate, Spirit rock, Isla, Sherbert, Hot & cold, Treasure and Deep purple

Deep purple - This is a super pigmented, vibrant satin purple. This is such as wow colour on the lids that it's great for either a vampy or nice spring/summer time look provided its blended with the correct colours. This looks awesome on the lids, outer corner and looks stunning under the lower lash line to just POP those eyes out.

Treasure - This is a silky, buttery yellow with a satin shimmer finish. This is another one of my favourites because this looks stunning to apply anywhere around the eye area. I find you can also use this over the top of a matte shade to add shimmer to it as it is a buildable pigmented shade. Lovely for a highlight around the eyes too

Hot & cold - This is a stunning cosy deep taupe shade. With the metallic like finish, this is wonderful when applied central to the eyelid.

Sherbert - This is a ultra matte apricot peach shade. I love this shade for a transition shade just to start off with. It looks super flattering blended in with any colour whilst looking amaze even on the lid. This is an all round easy shade to work with

Isla - I'm going to be honest and say this is my least tried shade but I actually love the colour of this so much. This is a nice pastel coloured green with a shimmer finish. I have yet tried to make it work as I am not really a green kind of shadow person as my eyes are greenish. However, this is actually pretty when in the inner corner of the eyes. This just makes the look unusual and stand out more to the eye. If you have blue eyes this would look amazing on you.

Spirit rock - This is such an interesting shade for me. I find that this is a deep black with pink/purple specks of glitter in it to make the glisten. When I first tried this out I wore this on it's own without no transition shade only highlight around the brown bone and slightly on the inner corner. This is quite a hard shade to work with in terms of how deep it is as a colour but once the light hits this colour, it looks so amazing and so glam with false eyelashes on that It's actually a really pretty shade, despite how dark and harsh it may look at first. The key is the BLEND

Hot chocolate - This is the classic brown with a matte finish in which every pallet should and does have. This is just a very easy to work with shade which can also be applied as a transition, base or a corner shadow. I use this often in the outer corner just to add depth to the look I am wanting to create.
